To benefit the South Carolina Special Olympics, FATZ®, home of the World Famous Calabash Chicken® and the Tri-County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3, annually hosts a Cops & Calabash Tip-A-Cop event at the restaurant on 4951 Centre Point Drive in North Charleston.
Law enforcement officers will be seating and serving FATZ® guests in exchange for tips that will go directly to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run and the 21,400 Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina. Officers from Charleston law enforcement agencies including the Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge 3 will be participating in the event.

In 2010, the Law Enforcement Torch Run raised more than $450,000 to support year-round sports trainings and competitions and looks to raise even more through the Calabash and Cops Tip-A-Cop event.
