The Tri-County Lodge 3 was established in 1976 and has a meeting hall in Hanahan, South Carolina. The lodge is nearly 700 members strong with a membership consisting of Law Enforcement Officers in the Local, State and National levels from the counties of Charleston, Dorchester and Colleton.

Our purpose is serving the Law Enforcement Officers in the Tri-County and building strong ties in the community and our youth. Our lodge recognizes the outstanding efforts of our Law Enforcement Officers with our Annual Awards ceremony, provides financial assistance to the families of officers killed or critically injured in the line of duty in the State of South Carolina, pays tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and works to pass legislation that will improve the working conditions of the Law Enforcement Officers and provide safer communities.

About the FOP

The Fraternal Order of Police is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 325,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.
